Wallkill Golf Club Wedding
Amanda and Nick’s Wallkill Golf Club wedding in Middletown, NY was a joy to witness. It was a warm July day, full of kind smiles from family and friends, laughter, and happy tears. But what I remember most is the personal touches that Amanda and Nick brought to the day. Amanda said they were ”hoping to have a bright, colorful wedding that is both intimate and a nonstop dance party.” It was all of that and more.

Amanda has a sweetness to her that instantly makes you feel like she’s your newest best friend. Nick is shy at first, but super funny once you come to know him. It’s easy to see why they are both the perfect match for one another. When I first met them, I loved hearing their love story and how Nick proposed in Las Vegas at Amanda’s favorite spot, the Bellagio Conservatory.

Wallkill Golf Club is a beautiful venue for a wedding. It is located in Middletown, New York, which is in the gorgeous Hudson Valley and a little over an hour north of NYC. Upon arriving at the venue, Amanda was getting ready in the bridal suite with her mom, bridal party, and mother of the groom. Amanda’s stunning Abella ball gown from Lamb’s Hill Bridal was adorned with lace flowers and detachable sleeves. Nick wore a navy blue suit which matched the groomsmen and complemented the periwinkle bridesmaids dresses.
Amanda and Nick held their ceremony outdoors on the golf course, which was stunning. The ceremony was incredibly sweet with Nick’s aunt officiating. Amanda and Nick exchanged thoughtful vows to one another and several guests cried tears of joy. It was beautiful to witness.
The indoor reception space is spacious and bright, with a large adjoining outdoor patio, perfect for cocktail hour. The flowers from Deja Vu Florals were stunning and complemented the decor perfectly.

One of the most fun touches to the day was when Amanda and Nick changed into their custom made sneakers, which had their wedding date embroidered. Also, Nick’s favorite hobby is playing disc golf, and that was one of the activities that were set up at the venue so guests could play during cocktail hour and later on. Both Amanda and Nick’s mom’s had their best friends travel in from all over the country to celebrate and it was so special to watch the joy on the faces of all those celebrating the union of their children.

The reception had everyone cheering, especially when Amanda and her dad did a surprise performance as their father/daughter dance which delighted their guests. The dance incorporated several genres of music and dance moves that Amanda and her dad practiced over Zoom for months before the wedding, in secret! Nick was speechless and the crowd was going wild! It was the most creative father/daughter dance I had ever witnessed at a wedding, and their guests loved it! Nick and his mom followed with an emotional mother/son dance, and later on in the evening, Amanda also shared a dance with her mom, which was so special.
